This U.S.-based energy supplier transitioned to Temple IT from a large national Managed Services Provider. As part of the transition, the client sought to reduce backup and DR costs without compromising performance or regulatory compliance.

THE CHALLENGE

The previous MSP had implemented a backup and DR solution using Axcient, which required expensive on-premise hardware combined with high-cost cloud storage. The pricing structure was inflexible and over-engineered for the client’s needs, resulting in costs nearly five times higher than more efficient alternatives.

Additionally, the client had no visibility into DR testing frequency or recovery procedures, and relied heavily on their previous provider to manage and verify readiness.

Single-server DR capabilities, reducing recovery overhead

The Acronis solution also provided native support for Microsoft 365, which was already in use.
